How to support our cause

Thank you for your interest in the Foundation and for your consideration in supporting our efforts with your financial contribution. Should you choose to designate your gift, you may do so in one of the following ways:

• In Honor of someone – a student, a special teacher, a mentor, a friend.

• In Memory of someone – a beloved family member or friend, or community contributor.

All monies received will be used in a manner consistent with the Foundation’s mission and grant guidelines.

If you would like to make a gift to the Endowment Fund, would like to make a gift of appreciated securities, or would like to discuss planned giving, please contact the Foundation office.

To make a tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation, please complete the Donor Form and mail it, along with your gift made payable to the Skaneateles Education Foundation, to the address on the form. We extend our sincere appreciation for your support.

PLEDGES AND MONTHLY GIVING

Monthly giving is a powerful way to support SEF in a meaningful way by giving an amount that feels comfortable each month. Simply check the box on the online or paper form, and a credit card transaction will be processed monthly.

Your recurring gift not only provides stable income but also saves the foundation from costly marketing efforts and mailings.

 

TRIBUTES

A donation to the Foundation in honor or in memory of someone special will be recognized on our website and in our annual report. Please designate your gift as such on the donor form or online payment.

 

EMPLOYEE GIVING VIA PAYROLL DEDUCTION

District employees can easily set up a recurring gift to SEF through an automatic payroll deduction through the District Business Office.

 

EMPLOYER MATCH

Please check with your employer. They may match your donation to double your impact!

 

UNITED WAY

Giving to the Foundation through regular deductions from your paycheck through the United Way is an easy way to donate. You can designate the Skaneateles Education Foundation online or when you fill out your United Way pledge card.

 

ENDOWMENT GIFTS

SEF is slowly but surely building an endowment fund to ensure the health and strength of the Foundation in perpetuity. Donations earmarked for the endowment fund are restricted for that purpose.

 

PLANNED GIVING

With the creation of the Skaneateles Education Foundation, Skaneateles has joined a growing number of creative communities in the United States that seek different funding sources to bridge the gap between school budgets and funds necessary to provide an exceptional public education. Our efforts are solely directed at enhancing the quality of education, by strengthening the curriculum and expanding the resources available to students and faculty in the Skaneateles Central School District. Through its partnership with the community, the Foundation endeavors to enrich the educational experience of every student.
